England Vs Denmark Euro

Harry Kane sends England into their first major men's final

Kane's second-half penalty seals a 2-1 win over Denmark

England have reached their first major men's final in 55 years after Harry Kane's second-half penalty sealed a 2-1 victory over Denmark at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday night.

Mikkel Damsgaard gave Denmark the lead with a stunning free-kick in the 30th minute, but Simon Kjaer's own goal leveled the scores just five minutes later.

The game went to extra-time, and it was Kane who eventually broke the deadlock in the 104th minute, sending England through to the final where they will face Italy on Sunday.

Reaction

"It's an amazing feeling," said Kane. "We've worked so hard for this and we deserve it. We showed great character to come back from behind and win the game.

"We knew it was going to be a tough game, but we stuck to our game plan and we got the win.

"We're now one game away from winning the Euros and we're going to give it everything we've got."
