Disney has released the first trailer for "Mufasa: The Lion King," a prequel to the 2019 photorealistic remake of the classic animated film. The upcoming movie explores the unlikely rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands, with Simba determined to provide his cub with a meaningful legacy.

The trailer showcases stunning visuals and introduces the voice cast, including Seth Rogen, Mads Mikkelsen, Thandiwe Newton, and Donald Glover as Simba. Blue Ivy Carter has also joined the cast, marking her voice acting debut. The film is scheduled for release in theaters on December 20, 2023.
